TThe Department of Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology and Obstetrics was established during the year 1972 with the inception of the college of Veterinary and Animal Sciences on May 18th, 1972. The Department offers various courses in the discipline of Animal Reproduction to B.V, Sc. and A.H. students and post graduate programme leading to the award of M.V.Sc. in the subject of Animal Reproduction programme was started from the year 1977-78. The department has facilities for conducting research on fertility improvement in farm animals.
