The Department of Veterinary Pathology is actively involved in Teaching, Research & Extension. The faculty is always striving for giving updated knowledge in the Vet. Pathology subject to students through demonstrative teaching. Up till now, 04 staff members did doctoral degree and 99 completed their master degree from this department.

The Department is conducting agency sponsored research schemes / Contractual Research on various aspects as per the Sponsors need. Up till now, 13 Agency Sponsored Schemes have been completed. These services are constantly given to other departments in completing their research projects. The commercial research is also being conducted by this department especially through tissue processing & reporting.

The Faculty is always extending its services to livestock owners for disease diagnosis through laboratory examination of blood, urine & histopathological examination of tissue samples and also through necropsy examination and suggests suitable guidelines to livestock owners. field Veterinarians and Technocrats. The Faculty of this Department also takes part in delivering extension services through radio talks, participating in cattle shows & Animal health camps & by publishing articles in local language. The faculty is also acting as experts and delivering talks in various training programmes. Also, the department is organizing training programmes for professionals, organizing expert lectures, seminars, etc
