The department of Veterinary Physiology & Biochemistry was established since, the college establishment. In the year, 2004, Department of Vet. Biochemistry separated with the Sectional Head and academic staff. In the year, 2008 University (under VCI guidelines) appointed Professor, Associate & Assistant Professors of Vet. Biochemistry. Since then, the college has been with two separate Departments.

Laboratory Facilities in the Department: The Department of Veterinary Biochemistry is mandatory for establishment of two laboratories as per VCI norms UG laboratory & Analytical Equipment Lab

Diagnostic services offered by the department: The Biochemical Analysis Laboratory established at Veterinary Clinical Complex with the Ultra-Modern Diagnostic equipments for Blood Hematology, Blood Biochemistry, Blood Gas & Electrolyte estimations & Urine analysis. The diagnostic services have been since long provided to the farmers on the basis of Levying charges.
